KOMPalox

Compact Units

Application

The microfiltration type KOMPalox is used for the separation of oil, greases and fine particulates from cleaning solutions. In this way, she adds essentially to extend the service life of the inserted process solution.

  • Cleaning and decreasing solutions
  • Grinding waste water and dispersion
  • Waste water from automobile workshops and transport services

Process Characteristics

The microfiltration is a physical separation process. It separates aqueous dispersion and emulsions. The medium to be separate flows along a membrane with high rate and a specific pressure.

The pore size of the membrane is dimensioned that small molecules like water and solved materials pass (permeate) and larger keep back such as oils may be (retentate).

The filtrate flow is product dependent. The separation process basically runs in the case of recycling as during disposal. Depending on area of application, the materials which are recovered are contained either in permeate or in the retentate.

Description of plant

The Kompalox plant consists of a sludge and oil separator as soon as a work and washing tank. The work tank is subdivided into two chambers. In the first compartment the swimming oils, grease and deductible materials are separated. The medium to be cleaned is sucked from the tank and pumped by the module.

Occurred during filtration through periodic moving pulses with compressed air and backwash with permeate that is pressed by the membrane towards the filtration direction, a continuous cleaning of the membrane surface.

Emulsified oils, grease and solid materials are restrained by the module and are concentrated in the work tank . The oil-free permeate is restored into the process bath again. That concentrated oils and grease must from time to time be taken from the work tank.

Advantages

  • Non polluting process
  • Economically operation of the plant and cost savings through
        recycling
  • Completely preassembled and function tested
  • Assembling costs at the installation site are minimal. It occurred
    no production interruption.
  • Compact, space-saving design simplified inserting
  • The plant can be set up at any time at another place
  • Minimal refill of the process baths because of the restoring of
        active washing substances
  • Wide range of application through variation of membrane types
  • No temperature limits through the use of stainless steel and
        ceramics
