Contaminated filterpapers from the filtration of electroplating solutions and other process solutions are hazardous waste. With the specially designed chopper the filterpapers are disintegrated to form a pulp which is neutralized and treated with other metal finishing waste waters.
Before adding the contaminated filterpapers to the unit, the pumping chamber is filled with alkaline water. A few minutes after starting the chopper the papers are cut and disintegrated. The solution is circulated in a closed loop.
By switching the valves the solution is pumped to the neutralization tank for treatment. The pulp acts like a filter-aid and improves the filtration of the sludge on the filter-press.
The conical pumping chamber is directly connected to the chopper pump. The solidity of the design assures long-term, problem-free, and safe performance. The unit is movable.
