ReVak TC-Unit
Application
Vacuum evaporation units are used primary to separate water from liquid waste or aqueous chemicals. This technology makes it possible to have a enormous reduction of the waste volume for disposal and the recycle of the condensed liquid after the evaporation. All the industrial sectors which use water or aqueous solutions as processing fluids, washing, rinsing, or cooling can find a solution for the waste treatment in the evaporation equipment. The following is a short list of application fields:
- Plating: Treatment of rinsing waters, concentration of spent process baths, concentration of high corrosive solutions such as chromic and hydrochloric acid.
- Precious metal: Recovery of metals from rinsing and process waters.
- Mechanical: Oil separation from exhausted oil emulsions and recycling of distillate to produce fresh emulsions.
- Surface treatment: Concentration of spent phosphate and degreasing baths. Treatment of tumbling and pickling rinse waters.
- Photographic: Treatment of processor rinsing water. Concentration of depleted Fix and Developer baths
- Graphic arts and textile: Treatment of rinse waters with inks, pigments and photo polymers.
- Pharmaceutical and cosmetic: Treatment of process and equipment cleaning waters.
- Chemical: Treatment of equipment and mixer rinsing waters. Concentration of process waters from intermediate and chemicals production.
- Disposal company: Concentration of collected wastes. Reduction of the pollution load of particular stream to be sent to the final polishing. Concentration of landfill leachate.
- Food: Concentration of olive oil mill waters. Treatment of dairy waste waters and equipment cleaning waters. Concentration of grape must to remove the excess water and to obtain a liquor with a proper sugar content. Concentration of fruit juices at the proper density. Treatment of waste waters from slaughter, preserving and changing of meat.
- Leather and tanning: Treatment of waste waters of salt treatment and painting.
- Aeronautic: Concentration of spent glycol solutions used as wing anti freezing.
- Electronic: Treatment of PCB and semiconductors rinsing waters.
- Glass: Treatment of rinsing waters from mirror manufacturing.
Main Advantages
- Capacity from 10.000 - 250.000 liters per day
- High concentration rate with a good energy efficiency
- Use of resistance materials allows operation also with corrosive solutions
- The combination of the heat pump under vacuum achieves satisfactory distillation
at low temperatures (38 -40°C) at reduced power consumption
- Little sedimentation, corrosion problems and foam due to the low temperature
- Low COD in the distillate due to low temperature
- Compact systems are supplied ready to connect.
- Easy retrofit into existing installations
- High quality manufacture
- Equipment rentals for pilot trials are available
- Short delivery time
Types and Applications / TC-Unit
The TC units are thermal compression evaporators. They have a very low energy consumption. The units are built inside a container box.
