Continuous Treatment
Application
Before initiation into the canalisation, the waste
water must be cleaned according to the standards
that conform with the public sewer acceptance
limits.
Continuous flow-through systems are proved and
at the same time economical procedures. They are
designed for treating large effluent streams which
carry low amounts of contaminants.
The continuous system is in general used at the
following treatment processes:
- Neutralization
- Precipitation
- Flocculation
- Sludge separation
Process Characteristics
The effluent runs true a series of tanks those are furnished with stirrers and in which reaction additives are dosed.
The precipated sludge particles are detached from the effluent with the from Gütling developed and patented settling cyclone or compact clarifier. The further drain of the thin sludge mainly occurs with a filter press.
The respective process step is dependent from the respective effluent contents and accordingly, is determined.
Our continuous treatment correspond to the German ATV bulletin M765.
Description of plant
The waste water is buffered in a storage tank in order to equalise the fluctuation of concentration and volume flow. The waste water is lifted with a pumping station to the intake height of the continuous treatment unit. It then runs this through at free slope without every shear stress. Depending on the available installation height and the kind of the arising sludge can this sludge detached with a settling cyclone or a compact clarifier. The sedimentated wet sludge is compacted in a sludge thickener further.
Drained is normally with a chamber filter press to a depositable dry sludge. In special cases, a membrane filter press can also be inserted.
As post-cleaning becomes a sandfilter and if required, a selective ion exchanger inserted, before pH endcontrol becomes drained into the sewer over that.
Advantages
- Processing of high waste water lots with low pollutant concentration
- Continuous process
- Relative small floor space
- Standard dimensions
- Corrosion-resistant construction
- High standard of automation
- Low operating expense
- Sludge detachment and sludge pre thickening in one system
